The AMC Quick-draw pouch is a well-needed piece of gear, to protect your tourniquet from environmental conditions, allowing reliable tactical combat casualty care, without the worry of your equipment failing you.

A study published by the National Institute of Health, shows that tourniquets exposed to adverse environmental conditions show a stark decrease in efficacy, of 57% to 63% of exposed tourniquets being inefficient, and, 8.43% to 12% of tourniquets breaking, failing entirely when being applied. Another study by the NIH, found here, discusses a similar topic, showing similar results from their testing of exposed vs unexposed, covered tourniquets. Regardless of whether you purchase a tourniquet pouch from us, or other vendors, we strongly recommending having one regardless. Our Quick-Draw tourniquet pouch, allows the user to adequately secure and cover their tourniquet to any part of their webbing, whilst still allowing access extremely quickly. 

Instructions for use

• Load tourniquet as described below & pictured
• Attach to load bearing equipment
• When needed, use force to pull the quick draw tab, removing the tourniquet.

Instructions for loading TQ

• Remove the encasing strap from pouch.
• Remove elastic strap, if attached.
• Insert encasing strap into tourniquet pouch, ensuring the velcro remains INSIDE the pouch (as pictured in image #4)
  • If the velcro on the encasing strap goes over the pouch, the encasing strap will not be able to remove the tourniquet when pulled.
• Place tourniquet in pouch, underneath the fold of the encasing strap, as pictured in image #5 and #6.
• Place the elastic strap over the tourniquet (image #7) or over the encasing strap and tourniquet together (image #1)
  • If the elastic strap is over the tourniquet, underneath the encasing strap, it will remain on the encasing strap once removed (image #9). The tourniquet will fall out / allow for faster removal, if elastic is over the encasing strap.
